I like to write poems. And, sometimes, as I write them, they turn into something other then what I'd planned. i.e. The poem "Watching Faces" (it's a prose poem, it's not supposed to rhyme) was just going to be a goofy rhyme about the time I stared at someone for 40 minutes, but, as you can tell, it turned into something else.
I think that that is why I write poems. They help me internalize things.
