Blue Puppy

In honor of Xai's stuffed dog.

There's a blue puppy beside me. 

He has a red patch on one eye. 

His rosy cheeks seem to have frost bite 

His toes are as red as a pie. 

There is a blue doggie beside me. 

His tummy is totally yellow. 

So are his ears, and they also 

Have colored dots. Oh, what a fellow! 

The tail of this puppy beside me 

(Although it is hard to admit) 

Seems to have spilt into ribbons. 

Literally, two ribbons split. 

This cute little doggy beside me 

Seems to be not quite a stranger. 

I think that my brother will miss him. 

I'll give it to him in his "manger".
