Bible Animals

You know how the animals in the Bible aren't always what they seem? Like how when it says "unicorn" it really means "Bos Primigenius" (an extinct bison.) So I went through and found out what they mean.
Unicorn
= Bison
(Job 39:9/Bible Dictionary)
Owl

= Ostrich

 (Job 30:29)
Dragon
= Jackal(Isaiah 13:22)

Dragon

= Sea Serpent

  (Jeremiah 51:34)
Dragon
Snake
      (Psalms 74:13)

  1. Those are really interesting concepts--A name can go such a long way!! It makes me wonder about the people in the Bible time period: how and why did they come up with those names for those animals?

    1. It might also be the translation. Like translating "Zorro" (spanish for fox) to "Dragon" (english for dragon :)...)
